Run a latex tube with a good quality clincher and you get close to the feel of a tubular. Tests have also shown that latex tubes provide less rolling resistance, which is a result of the high elasticity of the latex being able to conform to road imperfections, dispersing less energy. Latex tubes are far more porous than butyl, that is why we need to keep a close eye on the pressures before every ride and they cannot be patched or repaired.
<br/>
Latex and butyl are so passé.
